ACLAC

Written by Taymoor Farooq

The Aitchison College Language and Culture Fest, also known as ‘ACLAC’ was an annual inter-school event held on the premises of Aitchison College to celebrate foreign languages here in Pakistan. Contestants ranging from junior to senior years from an abundance of schools from across the city made their way over to Aitchison College this year for this one day-long event, on the 25th of January. French is definitely an area where TNS excels, therefore delegations were sent from both our DHA and Gulberg campuses to prove once and for all that TNS produces the best French speaking students in Lahore. This year, ACLAC primarily hosted event categories catering to students with knowledge of French and German. Our students participated in various categories, ranging from Poetry and a Talent Show all the way to a Quiz and Cultural Exhibition. The effort and skill displayed by our students was evident on the day of the event. While many other teams performed to the best of their abilities, they were no match for us. TNS truly stood out among the hundreds of other delegates present, certified by our achievements at the event. As a result of Team TNS’ efforts, we managed to secure 5 trophies, and as a result, managed to bring home the most valuable and coveted prize possible, the ‘Best Delegation’ award. ACLAC was an immensely enriching experience and an astounding way to start off the year for our school. With similar preparation and determination, I’m sure the students of TNS will continue to perform wonderfully in similar events in the future.
